Travelling Turf is a travel and tourism-related blog about my experiences during the business and holiday trips. I do not stick to any specific area of travel. Instead, I try to share different experiences and even sometimes add a professional point of view to them.

The reason for this is my background as a marketeer and a tourism educator/consultant. I travel quite a bit for my work, but I love to travel during free time. Sometimes trips  won’t reach further than my home towe or the neighbouring town, sometimes they go a big further.

I have a special love for Baltic area. I myself live in Finland, and besides Helsinki and Lapland, it seems that even Finns are unaware of the versatile experiences this lovely country has to offer. So I want to present them here. Also Tallinn, Stockholm and other cities around Scandinavia / Baltic area have a lot to offer.

Another perspective is that of an adult with teens. In my opinion, quite many travel blogs are about singles travelling around the world and with all expenses paid. And good for them – that is something you should do when you are young :). But life isn’t over once you turn 40 and have kids of your own and a day job to take care of.

So I wanted to share my experiences what it is to travel with kids (well, in my case ONE kid) and in times  – as well as the budget – that fit to your and your family’s work and holiday rhythms.
